The Fires of Hate

Description

He was a lonesome dragon. Unloved. Neglected. Utterly alone. Alas, the piteous wretch Epimetheus knew not why he was condemned to be a prisoner of loneliness.

Epimetheus was a child of calamity, born with a power that would entice the world unto chaos—and one that surpassed that of his brothers. And so, his siblings took his power and cast him aside to be forgotten.

He had been deceived even by Prometheus, the one and only brother who had granted him attention. The realization caused flames of anger to flare up around him, but it would be his own body that burned.

Though the flames faded, the hate in him did not. He could never forgive Prometheus. Had all the brothers simply come together and discussed things from the start, perhaps this could have been avoided. But alas.

Until one of his brothers was gone, the flames of Epimetheus's hate would burn on. Thus did he embrace it, unaware he was entering the very calamity his brothers hoped to avert.
