Garuda was the guardian of her village, and had protected it since time immemorial. The residents revered and worshiped her— but in her heart, she had always been alone.

No matter how powerful her wings, she could not fly from the loneliness that ate at her. Alas, the people worshiping her had no way of knowing that her heart was on the razor's edge of shattering.

In the end, what healed her wounded heart wasn't words of praise or offerings, but an ordinary conversation she shared with a child. And when it was over, she smiled with the radiance of an early morning sun.

But now, Garuda was nowhere to be found. With her heart restored, she had taken to the skies in search of new meetings— which caused great concern among the members of her guardian village.

But Garuda's protection allowed the village to grow, and its people were now wise enough to look after themselves. And yet, the wind that she caused still blows without pause, reminding them of all that she did.
